This project is under development and it is not fully established yet. The work on this website is still in progress.



Gatran's Dictionary of Quran (GDQ) is a clear and simplified dictionary for the vocabulary in the Quran. The acronym (GDQ) is pronounced /d͡ʒdak/ the Arabic word (جدك) means (your grandfather) in Arabic.



What is GDQ



The aim of GDQ is to provide educational tools for Muslim communites. As a dictionarny, the main focus is vocabulary. The website content is to be arranged in levels, each level has a set of Surahs that share relevant vocabulary. The guide to reading the text is described in an example here. If you are a beginner, the page here has important information. The work here is still in progress, and the search bar is going to provide a wider range of vocabulary in the future.
